Were Home!!!

Thanks to Jared for posting to the website while I was in the hospital. We came home today. All is well with both mom and baby. Now for a little more details for those who are interested.

On Saturday October 1st, I started having contractions. Around noon they were at 15-20 minutes apart. By 5:30 when Jared went to priesthood session (note, at this point Jared had no clue I was having contractions), my contractions were about 10 minutes apart.

At 9:00 when Jared came home from priesthood session my contractions were about 8-9 minutes apart. At this point I figured we were going to have a baby soon, so I had to run to Wal-mart and get a few last minute things. By the time we got back, around 10:30, my contractions were 6-7 minutes apart.

By 1:30 my contractions were coming 5-6 minutes, so we went to the hospital. They checked us in, and watched us for an hour. Although my contractions kept coming, it wasn't dialating me anymore. The nurse gave me the option to go home (but she agreed I would be back later, because my contractions were too regular), or to walk around for an hour and check back. Well, after an hour of walking around my contractions were really strong. They had dialated me from a 1 1/2 to a 3.

So we were finally admitted at 4:30. At 5:00 we got the epideral (thank heaven for the epideral!!!!). The rest of the labor went really well. By 9:30 the doctor said it was time to push. My contractions were about 5 minutes apart, so after roughly 10 pushes, our baby was born.

Here are some pictures for everyone to see.
