Graduation Party
For Jared's Graduation party, I had a "theme" gift party. Since he has gotten a job teaching night classes for Weber State, he has become "Professor Plumb". So for gifts I got him:
The Movie Clue
The board game Clue
A Lead Pipe, Rope, Candlestick, and Wrench
And of course a nice plum colored Sport Coat.
But Jared wasn't the only one graduating. Wally, Westin, Crystal and Jenny also were graduating. We all enjoyed celebrating everyone accomplishments. Thank you everyone who came to celebrate.
Avery got her birthday present from Grandma while we were there. It was a dress-up kit.
Dress #1
Dress #2
Dress #3
Xander LOVES his cousin Cole
And here is Jared's first night of teaching. (Side note: only his boss got the joke).
Baking Birthday Brownie Cupcakes
For Jared's Birthday, we made him Brownie Cupcakes (Jared wanted Brownies, and Xander insisted you had to have cupcakes for your birthday).
Xander was the photographer, and had to get a photo of Dad acting like Xander (as you will see in a little bit, Xander won't take a picture without his tongue out)
Zoo with Joyce and Jim
For a graduation present for Jared, my awesome Aunt and Uncle took us to the zoo yesterday.
Here is Xander (with his Batman mask on) posing with a lego monkey picture)

Painting my living room
So as you can see in this photo, my walls are all a very, very boring beige. Those who know me, know that I do not like boring beige (or white) walls. But since we weren't going to be in our townhome very long, I didn't want to paint it too much. Now that I know we will be here for a few more years while Jared finishes his PhD, I figured it was time to get colorful.
I bought a new area rug (this is the one we choose). It is sooo soft that it convinced me we need new carpet too, but that is another post.
So we painted our walls RED (we started yesterday about 4:00 pm, and finished around 2:00 am).
Here are my cats enjoying the ladder.
And here are the beautiful red walls. (Seriously compared to the above "before" picture, the house instantly looks so much more refined).
That sums up my life for the past few weeks. Hopefully I can be better about posting pictures in the future, but probably not.

Yes! I definitely approve of the red wall! I LOVE IT! And I love the rug to go with it.
The clue gifts still crack me up! SO FUNNY! Birthday cupcake look so yummy!
And I LOVE your red wall. It looks so warm and inviting! Can't wait to see it for real.
Looks great! Congrats Jared! So might you be my neighbor again in a couple of years when I move back?
