My adorable little boy turned 6 this weekend. And for his birthday he decided to go to Grandma's house for the weekend, without us. Sigh. He really is growing up. But we joined him today (Sunday) and celebrated his birthday with his cousins.
Here are his presents:

Opening the presents (Super Hero Squad Squikies). If you don't know what they are, join the crowd (me), but apparently he saw them at Toys R Us, and HAD to have them.

It was a SUPER fun weekend for kiddo. He LOVES playing at grandmas (and it allowed me to get my patio almost done (see post below). Here are a few fun facts about Xander:
- He LOVES Kindergarten, and tells me all the time when I pick him up that he got "3 recesses today). He is in all day kindergarten and LOVES it (did I mention he LOVES it).
- He thoroughly enjoys playing with his cats, and gets up at all hours of the night to play with them.
- He is a very obedient little boy (for the most part) and is very helpful around the house and doing his chores.
Some of his favorite phrases right now are:
- "O, coconuts" (from Jake and the Neverland Pirates, on Disney Channel)
- "Aye, aye, captain"
- "Yes, sir"
- "You've got to be kidding me"
Some of the things I love about Xander are:
- He is a great hugger, and whenever he is trying to get something he wants, he gives me a HUGE hug, a kiss on the cheek and bats his eyes at me. Works almost everytime.
- He is a very kind hearted boy, and is always trying to do what is right.
- He loves learning, and is always asking questions
- He loves to talk and gives his dad a run for his money in that department (between his daddy and him, I never get a quiet moment). This does lead to some bickering between the two about who's turn it is to talk.
I am so proud of my beautiful 6 year old.
