This weekend we went up to Rexburg for a Reunion for me. It was planned in conjunction with Mother's Weekend, so it turns out Jared's mom was in town for the weekend also. It as a lot of fun to spend time with Alyssa at her apartment, and Jared's mom and sister-in-law Ashley.
I forgot to take pictures, so I stole these from Alyssa's Blog. Sorry for the duplicates. But here are Xander and Alyssa (they share a birthday):
We all went out to Outback. Here we all are:
We were supposed to stay until Sunday, but when we got to our friends the Maddens Saturday night and saw how much it was snowing, we figured we better hurry home and beat the snow (which is a good thing we did because shortly after we got home they closed the Utah-Idaho border due to heavy snow). Luckily we did get ahead of the snow storm and didn't have hardly any snow for the drive home.
Here is the only picture I took. It is Xander playing in the snow in the Maddens front yard:
We woke up to this (4-6 inches of snow):
Xander was SOOOO excited to play in the snow. He had been wanting to make a snowman for MONTHS now, and yesterday when it was snowing in Idaho he BEGGED to make one, but there wasn't enough snow. I couldn't tell him no today, especially since the snow is supposed to all melt soon.

The final product:
He has a Marigold nose, petunia eyes, and geranium buttons. With Celocia (sp?) for arms and hair and mouth. It isn't very often you see a snowman decorated with fresh flowers...
Then I showed Xander how to make a snow angel. He didn't quite get it.
We had a VERY fun weekend! Thanks to Alyssa for letting us crash her mothers weekend. And a special thanks to the Maddens who let us stay the night at their place.

How much fun is that! We woke up to about 2 inches of snow, but it is all melted now. I would be happy if it snowed from now untill new Years and then didn't snow again till next october... don't you think?

Holy Cow! Look at that snow! I don't know that I would be ready for that yet. I am glad the boys enjoyed it though.

I can't believe it snowed there!! This past weekend it reached 80 degrees. I love the snowman!
