I have gotten a little itch under my skin with the warmer weather. I have decided I am going to paint my front door. After much deliberation, here is the winning color:

Note - this is only a photoshopped version of how my front door will look. Now I just have to wait for the weather to cooperate.
Usually I am all for contrasting colors, however, you need to be able to harmonize the color by using it elsewhere on the house. Since I had no other places to add a contrasting color, I chose a coordinating color.
What do you think?

Love it! I want to paint my front door but Phil keeps telling me that I can't paint a metal door. Is that true?
i love love love love love it!! It adds just a little pizzaz!! And aunt sharon i think you can paint metal. You just need a paint that's for metal. (that's what wally told me anyway)

I painted my door a year after we had the house built. I've never been happier. It's a burnt pumpkin and I just love it. And yes. You can paint a metal door. I did it four years ago and it still looks great.

it's already painted anyway so of course you can paint it another color. i have considered it myself since the builders did kind of a crap job but nothing else seems to go unless i get a nice hardwood door. i like the color on yours! looks nice. i painted my front door red on both of my previous homes. it's good luck and looks nice, except i don't think it would go with my current house.
I love red doors. They just seem so welcoming. I think that color looks great on your house because it brings out the red in the brick. Hopefully you'll have enough warm weather this week to get it done. We're supposed to have temps in the 50's all week here.
