Spring Forward...

Since tomorrow is Daylight Savings Time, I thought I would post a little trivia about how it all began:

"Ben Franklin is thought to have come up with the idea for daylight saving time. In a whimsical letter to a French journal, he said that Parisians could save thousands of francs a years by waking up earlier during the summer because it would prevent them from having to buy so many candles to light the evening hours."

I personally love this particular time change. It is now going to be lighter, later, which I LOVE. I can't wait (except for first thing tomorrow morning. 9:00 church will be interesting for me...)

I had no idea that is how it got started! How interesting, I have to agree with loving the time change this time of year! It's like the first real sign that summer is just right around the corner, yipee!

i love it being light out later too but it gives us spring fever pretty badly. who wants to come in and do homework when it's so nice out?

Ugh I HATE daylight savings... Probably only bc I have two young children and it throws their schedule off.

Ha! What great trivia! I love that it's lighter later too! More time for bikerides, playing in the park, or going on hikes---all favorites! Oh good ol' Franklin . He was a thinker.

Also, I want you to note that I'm commenting on your post, even though you didn't comment on mine. I hope you return the favor because I love comments! =)

Love You!

So, I can thank Ben Franklin for the extreme exhaustion I suffer for one week every year! Good to know!
