Doctor Stuff

Well, I haven't wanted to post this, but figure it is probably time. I have been having some medical issues lately, and have not been feeling well.

I went to see a midwife and was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovaries or PCOS, pretty severe. It basically means I have a bunch of cysts on my ovaries. This makes it almost impossible to ovulate, and has resulted in the reason we only have (1) child (so quit asking).

The midwife ran a bunch of other misc test and turns out my PCOS has caused my uterine lining to become quite thick. After running some biopsies, it turns out that I have Complex Hyperplasia, with no atypia, meaning I have abnormal cell growth in my uterus. Although this isn't terminal, it also isn't good.

The past few nights I have had extensive abdominal pain, which I associated with my PCOS. This morning I was woken up with the most intense abdominal pain that I had Jared take me to the ER. Turns out, I was passing a kidney stone. During all the misc test it was also discovered I have gall stones too.

So needless to say the past couple of weeks have been crazy (this has been going on since June).

Now I am a very private person. I do not like to share stuff like this, so don't call and expect me to be all chatty about it, cuz I won't do it. But, as Jared pointed out to me the other night, I need to be a "little more open. Not a lot, but a little". So this is my attempt at sharing what is going on in my life.

I am going to a specialist for the Complex Hyperplasia next week, and will update as I know more. In the meantime, I am doing much better now that the intense stomach pain is gone.
