Our Trip to California

What a WONDERFUL fun week we just had. Oh my heck. I had a BLAST! We decided to leave Tuesday night and drive through the night, instead of leaving Wednesday morning. It turned out to be a good choice, since it gave us all day Wednesday to play.

Here are some pictures of the Car ride. We took my Uncle John's Suburban. Crystal (my sister) and her friend Erin sat in back.

Xander sat in the middle with Mom and Dad (this is him after driving through the night. We was such a happy, well behaved child. It was AWESOME).
We decided to go to the beach on Wednesday. It was a little chilly, and REALLY hazy (due to the fires) but we had a BLAST! Xander LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the ocean! Here he is running around chasing the birds.

Then he realized there was water, and took off running towards the ocean.


Oh, never mind, it's too cold.

We checked into our hotel Wednesday afternoon, and decided after Xander's nap to do a half day at Disney. The boys (who drove through the night) stayed at the hotel to sleep, the rest of us went to Disneyland.

Xander meeting Mickey. He was really excited to see Mickey in person, until Mickey tried to touch him, then he wasn't so sure. So Mom came in for the picture.

That night at the hotel Xander got a foot rub from Grandpa (Thanks to Grandma who taught Xander how fun foot rubs are. Now that is all he ever wants)
The next day (Thursday) we all went to Disney. We got pictures of Xander and his favorite Cars characters.

I didn't get any pictures of Friday, and the Cars one was the only one on Thursday. I guess we were all having too much fun.

Before we left Saturday I snapped a picture of our TEENY hotel room.

We drove part of the way Saturday. Here is Crystal and Erin after playing REALLY hard all week.
On our way home today we drove through Beaver (the town I was born in) and stopped by the house my parents lived in when I was born. Here is the picture.
We also drove by the hospital where I was born, but it was run down, and for sale. Everyone thought I should take a picture of it to post on the blog, but it was just too embarrassing to claim.

Then here is a picture of Xander when we are almost home. Still smiling.
We all had so much fun. And Xander was unbelievably well behaved. It was AWESOME. Can't wait until we can do it again.
