Why, might you ask, am I smiling so big. Well, if you didn't notice I had my tooth pulled yesterday. And yes, it still hurts.Short version:
I have had caps on my front teeth ever since I knocked them out skateboarding at the age of 8. My one tooth (the one that is missing) has had nothing but problems since. Well, two weeks ago Xander accidentally head butted me, and my tooth has been killing me since. Finally Tuesday night I noticed that I had a marble size growth above my tooth. Crud. So Wednesday morning I called the dentist, and they sent me straight over to an endodontist. He looked at it and said I need to go and see an Oral Surgeon right away, so he got me an appointment for Thursday.
The Oral Surgeon just wanted a consultation, but after going, and he took an x-ray of my tooth, he said it was REALLY BAD! And that my tooth needed to come out TODAY!!! I wasn't too surprised. So out came my tooth, and the marble sized infection that went with it. The infection was sooo bad that it had actually worn away some bone, so they gave me a bone graft while they were in there (which is actually really cool. They took some bone fragments from a cadaver, and ground them into cornmeal sized pieces, then put them up in my jaw and held them there with a thin membrane and stitches. So now I am part dead guy...)

Notice how black and rotted the tooth is. Yeah, it hurt.
Anyhow, my replacement tooth part (flipper) will be here Monday, but until then I am the toothless wonder.

If I was there I'd bring you ice cream or a smoothy or a limeaid... something to make you feel better!!
you look like you need to be up here in Idaho with us! You just need to wear un-even cut off shorts and a wife beater tank top and have your g-ments showing to top it off.

oh wow. what a day. i'm sorry I wasn't there to tend xander when your tooth hurt so bad. Never the less, this is a good picture to black mail you with for the rest of your life. I agree with chels, you look like a meth addict
I am glad that you are feeling better. It makes moms feel good that their kids still need them. Glad I could help.
Oh my heck! At first I thought you had just put a chocolate wrapper over your tooth like I do every so often at work just to give everyone a laugh. You are so lucky you had that taken care of when you did! That whole infection thing can cause some serious problems.
Holy Cow! Brandon is having that same tooth pulled Friday.
