Well, we have been busy the past few weeks, and this week I actually took pictures. So here you get a long post with all the stuff going on with us.
1 - We have decided that Jared is going to go back to school. He only has 3-4 semesters left, and since he is home we figured now is the time. He is all registered, and ready to go for January. Since he is going back to school, he insisted he needed a new computer. So he bought himself a 27" iMac (yes that is the size of a TV).

2 - To make me feel better about his huge purchase, he also bought me new living room sofa's from IKEA (2 new sofa's and a new coffee table for UNDER $500 including delivery). I LOVE them! (My old ones were breaking, the seats were falling through and the arms started falling off. And they were only 4 1/2 years old!!!)
3 - I know you are all wondering "How the heck can they afford this, he has been out of a job for so long" and to you I say "None of your freaking business!!! When I say we are fine, I mean it!" In fact, tonight we got a large package of food from the ward (I mean HUGE package of food). I knew it was coming tonight because that is what we did for our YW activity, but I didn't know we were going to be a recipient of one of these large totes. We promptly took it back to the bishop and said, thanks but no thanks. Call me ungrateful, proud, unhumble, whatever; but I FIRMLY believe that the church shouldn't provide basic necessities so people can buy computers and sofas. Especially when I KNOW there are people who need it more. Plus, I keep telling them we are fine. They don't believe me.
4 - Jared has decided he really wants to join the Navy. I fully support him. The only thing is he has to loose some weight. We have been on a diet and exercise program now for 5 weeks. So far we have both gained weight, but lost inches. We have until the end of his next semester (end of April) to get down to his target weight. Wish us luck.
5 - Christmas is coming. We are STOKED! Christmas shopping is DONE as of today. Jared's family will be in town for his sisters reception and we will get to see them right before Christmas. (We BEGGED them, BRIBED them, and tried every trick in the book to get them to spend Christmas with us; but they obviously don't love us enough to, because they refused. Even though they will be here the day before Christmas, and half their children will be here...) I know when I am not loved....
6 - I love my new sofas and coffee table (I picked up the coffee table from DI for $5. When it warms up I plan to refinish it).
What is new with you???

I love the couches- they are perfect! I hear you on the old ones falling to pieces. We have the same problem, but I won't buy new ones until the Zachster isn't captain destruction anymore, so it could be a while!
How exciting for Jared to be starting school again. Three semesters goes by fast!
like the purchases! love my imac. don't get discouraged about loosing inches but gaining weight, the weight will start going next. navy could be a fun experience and good job security.
I've been exerciseing for a couple of months now and have had the same losing-inches-gaining-weight thing. I'm ok with that. I can also tell that I'm stronger and not so tired. I like your new living room. Good luck with school.
I LOVE the new couches! What are you doing with your old ones? Way to get exercising, I am sure Jared will do great in the Navy, and I think it is great that Jared is going back to school.
Love your sexy sofas.

I love you taste in furniture and color. I wish I could hire you to come to Spokane and help me in my home. I do not have the designing gene and it shows. Thanks for sharing. Who cares what you can buy and what you can't. I'm impressed that you could do that. You should teach a class in savings.
Congrats! Looks like everything is going well and that's great. Merry Christmas Early to you guys!
We are glad that you are doing so well. Your new stuff is very cool and it is always nice to get new things. "Out with the old!" It is exciting that Jared has so many things he is doing. We wish you all the luck in the world.
