First of all, Jared and I didn't feel right about signing some of the contracts they wanted him to sign (considering he runs a game company on the side). They wanted him to quit working Dracosoft, and they weren't willing to compensate him for what he was giving up. This forced us to have to resign from the company. However, they were in such desperate need of his skills that they agreed to hire him on as a part-time contract employee.
Here are the pro's and con's of this arrangement:
Pros
- Jared gets to continue working Dracosoft
- Jared gets more time to work Dracosoft, allowing more opportunities to make money
- Jared still has a job for the holidays
- We have to pay our own taxes and health insurance
- It is only part-time and comes to an end in January
Such is the life of working in the video game industry. This has happened at almost every video game company he has worked at.

i'm sorry for what happened. You should start your own multi million dollar gaming company. How would you do that anyway.
but good for you at not signing contracts you didn't feel good about. you will always be blessed for that.
Man that sucks. Hope all works out for you guys.
by the way, that comment was from me. Ang
Oh I think i figured it out.
Sorry to hear about this. But everything does happen for a reason. Maybe Heavenly Father has something else planned for you guys? Keep your chin up.
So sorry to hear about that! Especially during the holidays!!! But I guess that will make the decision to move to Austin to be our neighbors that much easier *hint hint*... but seriously I'm so sorry.
