First Snow

Today was the first real snow of the season. And Xander woke up from his nap and begged to go out and see it. So I took him out to play in the snow. It is fun to have a kid old enough to play in the snow. Last year, he just sort of toddled around in it, and didn't like it. This year, well, I'll let the pictures tell the story:

This is Xander as he was walking out of the garage. He stopped and looked out in awe.

Here he just discovered he could run through it.
And here he discovered he could throw it
And that it sticks to your gloves.

Such fun. I bet he is going to love it when it gets a little deeper. He had so much fun, but we finally had to come in because it was cold and dark and snowing hard (again).

It would have been nice to be home and had a snowball fight with him.

so dang cute. I love, love, love it. I'll have to come babysit him one of these days so I get my chance to play in the snow.

That is so cute. I am glad he is playing in the snow. Brandon loved it this morning when he got to. And I think we almost bought that same hat and glove set.

How fun! Looks like Xander had a blast! I hope we get some snow this year, my kids loved playing in it whenever we would stop on our way back.

These pictures are so cute. I love the way, as the pictures progress, there are more and more footprints. I can just picture him running in joy!
