Random Stuff

You get a random list today:
  1. Jared is still in China and he is really enjoying it. Yesterday (Sunday) he ventured out into the unknown and went the the Chinese Branch of our church. Since you can't mapquest or google earth directions to China, he just wandered around with a paper with the address written on it until he eventually found the place. It was about a 45 minute cab ride he said and it cost about $20 round trip. Makes you really appreciate the convenience of a church close by.
  2. Speaking of church, today was our primary program. I was SOOO nervous going into it, because a few weeks ago they released our AWESOME pianist, and replaced her with a lady who could BARELY play piano. The practices were going HORRIBLE, but she really pulled through, and the program turned out WONDERFUL. I special thanks to my parents who came all the way down to babysit Xander during Sacrement, so I could direct music without worrying about him.
  3. Thanksgiving is coming up FAST!!! I am really excited. So far all of Jared's family except Jon and his family has said they were coming. We have so many fun activities planned, Indian Headbands, Gingerbread Houses, Decorating the Christmas Tree, and many other ones. Can't wait. (Jon and Ashley if you guys want to come you better let us know by the 15th or you will be on your own for meals and lodging if you decide to come).
  4. Oh, Jared just e-mailed me the BEST thing ever. While in China he stopped by the IKEA and picked me up a Chinese IKEA catalog. Here is the picture:
  5. This next week will be busy, I am babysitting Paul full-time next week 8-4 every day. It will be interesting to see how I do with two kids. (There is a reason we only have one).
  6. Chelsea's wedding is next week. I'm excited for her. Her and Westin came over last night (Saturday) and played games with me, because I was so lonely. Thanks guys. It was a nice break from the monotony of my quiet boring house at night.
  7. Random side note, I had asked the Bishop if the children could cut off his tie if we did a good job singing (of course I provided him with the tie's we cut off, but they kids don't need to know that). So I gave him two ties (one for Jr primary and one for Sr). The kids had a RIOT. They were so excited. All after church you could hear the children's voices ringing through the halls "Mom, we got to cut off the Bishop's tie!". It was cute.
  8. Jared comes home on Saturday night. Can't wait. I miss him.
  9. Oh, I went to my Mom's on Thursday. We had so much fun. Xander got to go and see some horses, and he LOVED it. Check out pictures on her blog by clicking here or follow the link to the right.
  10. Just to make it an even 10, we still don't know 100% if we are going to China or when, but if the head producer had his way, we would be there right now. Unfortunately it just takes time in big companies to work out details because they have to go through so many chains. But it looks like they are trying REALLY hard to have us there by mid December. Hooray (Everyone who wants to come start getting your passports now! If you have a passport, you need a Chinese Visa too!). Once we know for sure, we will post it here, and you can book your tickets.

Well, that is all I can think of. Thanks for reading.

Loved coming to visit you on saturday night. Sorry I was so grumpy. I'm excited for you to go to china, not only because I get to live in your house but I think it's cool. I'm glad the primary program went good.

I have been whining about going to China when you go. We'll see if Ryan caves. :)

You know, having two kids, although more work, is so much better than one. Kathleen was super high maintenance and I was scared to death to have another one. But having Brandon was the best thing I ever did for Kathleen. I think you will really be fine with Paul next week. Although, it is totally different when it is someone else's kids. But I am still sure you will be fine.
