I have been trying to get a picture of Xander with his "corner". Now for those of you who don't know what his "corner" is, I will tell you. When Xander was around 4-6 months old he started being able to grab things and he somehow found a tiny thread in the corner of his blanket. This became his "self-soothing" tool. Whenever he got sad or grumpy he would take the thread in the corner of his blanket and rub it under his nose and in his ear. He has now kept this up for two plus years and still every night asks for his "corner" so he can go to sleep. Unfortunately this is the best picture I could get of it.
Later that day Xander decided to play with my headband, but boys don't wear headbands over their hair, they wear it over their eyes (at leas Xander things so).
Then this week I thought I would show pictures of how big my flowers have gotten in my front yard, so here are some before/after pictures:
Yesterday we had Jared's friend Colby, his wife Denise and their three kids over to play. It was a lot of fun. Xander LOVES playing with them. Here is a picture of the three oldest kids (Kelsey, Xander and Austin) playing right before bed:
Also yesterday I installed a new light/ceiling fan in my bedroom. It is AWESOME!!! It keeps the room sooo much cooler, and TOTALLY is helping us sleep better. Now I want to put one in Xanders room.
Now, I know this is a TOTAL random side note, but just seeing this picture reminds me how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my bedroom color scheme. The reds/purples turned out AWESOME!!! I was extremely nervous doing such DARK colors (especially the really dark purple on the ceiling), but I don't regret it one bit. It is my FAVORITE room in the house!

Zoe always plays with the yarn that holds her blanket together. I think the soothing techniques that children have are so cute. Your flowers are very pretty.
I love that Xander has a "corner" to sooth him. I wonder if that would work for me? Your flowers are absoultely beautiful...looks like you are going to inherit the Noyes talent. We couldn't live without our fan light in our bedroom. It makes all the difference in the world when you are sleeping. I love the picture of Xander playing with his friends! Playtime is so different now days for kids....we used to hold dolls and toys, now they hold romote controls. So cute!

Sometimes the random posts are the most fun to read. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that picture of Xander with the blanket and thread. It is so cute and a perfect pic.
The headband is hilarious! The yard looks great-it already looks like the pictures you posted when you planted of "10 years from now!"
